Jacqueline Claire Matheson is an artist and volunteer born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. Claire explores a variety of artistic forms; her primary focus lies in painting (acrylic on canvas), line drawings (ink), and book-making. Claire is a student at the Toronto School of Art, where she studies drawing, painting and collage.
Claire has had her paintings featured in the Joshua Creek Art From the Heart show, and the Artists’ Network Gallery Streetcar Art Exhibition and has sold numerous commissions for portraits of dogs, cats, birds, horses and the occasional rabbit. Most recently, Claire's artwork has been featured in a collection of totes with Guava Pussy Zine.
In addition to visual arts, Claire is a talented pianist and performs with the support of SNAP at the Revera Retirement Home, and volunteers regularly throughout the community.
